8 Don 75

Udaharanarth and Palette Motion Pictures’ 8 Don 75 (Marathi; UA) is about Amol Moghe (Shubhankar Tawde). He becomes a doctor because his mother asked him to do so before she died. His father, Anna (Anand Ingle), becomes the Kirwant and Kavita (Sanskruti Balgude) is found by Amol in the same medical college. Bhaurao Tare’s daughter, who built this college only for herself to become a doctor. Nikhil Rajeshirke gets elected as the University’s Student Representative and one day he declares strike in the college because there are no cadavers in it.

And when dead bodies are absent from any medical institution this becomes a serious problem since they are necessary for students of medicine who have to know human body from inside out. At that moment Nirmalatai Indurkar makes announcement in college which makes all students pull up their socks as per this announcement if student fulfils some condition then he will be eligible for free education? What is pre-condition? What happens after Nirmalatai’s announcement?

Story-screenplay written by Sharvany Sushrut is not very engaging; drama looks scattered while not being such type that can keep audience interested for too long; comedy is weak & emotions are conspicuous by their absence. In short, there isn’t anything to involve viewer into proceedings. Dialogues given by Sanjay Mone average.

Amol Moghe played well by Shubhankar Tawde; Kavita fair enough performed by Sanskruti Balgude; Ramchandra Moghe alias Anna supported decently done through Anand Ingle; Vatsala Moghe was okayish portrayed by Sharvany Pilae; Bhaurao Tare had his moments portrayed convincingly enough without going overboard with them acted upon by Sanjay Mone. Nanu Kulkarni played adequately enough by Vijay Patwardhan; Nikhil Devrukhkar lent average support as Nikhil Devrukhkar; Nirmalatai Indurkar okayish acted upon by Radhika Vidyasagar. Pushkar Sudhakar Shrotri, Shubhangi Damle, Seema Kulkarni, Chinmay Girish Sant, Swapnil Kanase, Ashwini Kulkarni, Charudatta Aphale and others were fine in their respective roles.

Direction given by Sushrut Bhagwat was ordinary; Music composed by Avadhoot Gupte is fair; Lyrics (Vaibhav Joshi, Ganesh Nigde and Sant Tukaram) are alright; Choreography done by Deepali Vichare & Vitthal Patil is functional; Background music composed by Adwait Patwardhan and Onkar Tikle is reasonably nice; Cinematography taken care of by Yogesh Rajguru will do for what it’s worth but could have been bettered anyways so not bad at all considering everything else that went wrong with this film here today my friends! Production designing (Siddharth Tatooskar & Bhakti Tatooskar) good enough while editing should’ve been sharper IMO.
