Love on the Side
Love on the Side is a romantic comedy film that was released in 2004. The director of this movie is Vic Sarin, and the main cast includes Marla Sokoloff, Jennifer Tilly, and Monika Schnarre. It tells the story of a young waitress named Eve Stuckley (played by Sokoloff) who lives in a small town in Montana. She yearns to abandon her hometown for Los Angeles where she can lead an improved life as a writer. However, she remains trapped within her ordinary existence: working at a local diner and taking care of her sick father.
One day, Amanda appears before Eve’s eyes an attractive woman with an air of sophistication passing through their little community. Struck by Eve’s innocence and compassion towards others, Amanda hires her as a personal assistant situated in L.A..
Eve accepts this offer eagerly because she wants something different from what she has been used to all along hence; moving to live with Amanda in Los Angeles might provide such excitement. In this city compared with her small town upbringing elsewhere there are many differences between these two areas on Earth’s surface which need navigating through such as dealing with ruthless show business while also coming terms with falling love for another woman.
While adjusting herself into new surroundings plus carving out name within writing industry Max who happens be successful businessman starts pursuing relationship with Amanda whom he knows too well but not personally yet attracted due certain qualities possessed by latter towards former. Love on the Side follows the journey of sweet innocent eyed Eve as she becomes aware that life is not always what it seems after meeting someone like Max who brings joy into her soul making it impossible remain indifferent any longer.
