Now, I know this may seem like stating the obvious but the problem with sequels such as “American Pie 2” is that it revolves around the same characters and thus loses all surprise and lack of knowledge. In the first film “American Pie”, Stifler’s mom was a surprise to Jim. From nowhere she appeared like a gift sent from above, however in this movie she has become nothing more than a recurring punchline (at least for Steve). The first time round Jim had no idea that he was making love on live internet streaming video with Nadia. In this one strange men pick up on their CB radios strangers having sex and we’re thinking: This years version of internet broadcast.

That having been said, I had fun at “American Pie 2,” probably because character are broad comic types; well played out by actors; some sympathy for their dilemmas; obsessed with sex. Also because it has his dad (Eugene Levy), world’s most understanding parent telling him he’s proud after meeting him at emergency room when son’s just come off most embarrassing night of his life (remember, this is same guy who made love on Internet).

Wont go into detail about why jim ends up here but there lot can’t be told due to twist bouts sight gags horrifying sexual adventure side nor can too much be revealed without giving away some very funny scenes or surprising moments either! And finally there’s quite number stories surrounding three being magic number in sexual histories; when woman tells you how many men she slept should multiply by three whereas if man tells divide by three!

They’ve brought back almost everyone from original “American Pie” cast for sequel which they must have signed them up originally so just as well: Costing only $11 million dollars yet grossing over $150 million worldwide alone something definitely worked right there! So now what do they do? It’s simple really: graduate high school, finish first year of college then decide spend summer renting place by lake in grand haven michigan – party time!

The majority of the movie’s hilarity doesn’t necessarily come from its best moments. The scene is about three guys who are trapped in a house they’re painting by two people living there, who they think are lesbians. If the boys perform tasks on each other that they’d like to see girls doing to each other, then the ladies agree to put on a show. A few things work, some don’t quite hit it right, and it runs too long. However, there could have been a more subtle or funnier way to show their homophobic feelings.

A different approach altogether should be taken with Jim being mistaken for a retarded trombone player; this scene doesn’t play well either. One thing I do like about this film is how the women are depicted as equal opportunity predators rather than just being objectified sex objects such as Heather (Mena Suvari) suggesting phone sex with her boyfriend or contemplating the detumescent effects of call waiting.

I did laugh at “American Pie 2,” but either this has got to be their last pie or they need another angle because if you keep using same formula over and over again eventually everything becomes repetitive which would really kill Series for me at least because it is still very much alive with potential One good thing may be that sequels can teach producers new things so let us hope this does not become an issue also.
