Ancestry Road
This week, the trailer for Ancestry Road was released. It is a new supernatural drama film made in Tasmania but set in Scotland. The movie will be shown in theaters in 2024.
Ancestry Road tells the story of Kevin McGavin, his wife and three children. One day, their youngest daughter frequently disappears on the back hill of their Scottish farm property. In order to keep track of her, he decided to build a road there. But when some dead relatives drive down that road and visit them mysteriously at night; they don’t know why these people have come back from death or what do they want with them?
Kevin’s father died many years ago when he was still young so until this moment nobody knew anything about him neither met any other members from his side except mother who passed away two years earlier right after giving birth to their third child. That’s why more and more deceased family members start popping with each other for an afternoon tea.
Then Kevin has started digging into his own family tree trying hard to find out any information which could explain all these visitations while being helped by Rosie local book shop owner near town who knew lot about peoples’ ancestors too especially those who lived around here long time ago;
Triggs writes: ‘When my mother died two years ago it was the saddest day of my life but also gave me inspiration for this film which is dedicated to her memory.
