Borderline on Bad Behavior
Hey gang, Valkor here. If I am looking for a source of calm and I want to crack a few good jokes, then one of my go-to series would be the “The Hangover” series. The things that they do for me, never gets old. And then I fell onto this latest film Bordering on Bad Behavior; I guess what I have to say is I did not think that this was going to be a bro film, and while it is certainly not The Hangover with regards to the level of comedy, this particular film was still pretty awesome in its own way.
Bordering on Bad Behavior introduces us to three men from three different walks of life who have been locked in a room for six hours, unable to exit until the timeline of six hours ends. There is a very serious time frame for one of them. First up we have Lebanese Baz (Bernard Curry who carries most of the weight in the movie) Convenience with regard to country boundaries was evidently the pursuit of Baz. Baz was doing border patrol along the Lebanese/Israeli border with his cousin, David, when he accidentally trespasses a highly sensitive Israeli base which had an American soldier named Bob (Tom Sizemore) and an Israeli Special Forces named Ari (Oz Zehavi) on guard.
This time the story begins with war stakes right from the beginning especially between Ari and Baz who understandably do not like each other. But once the initial culture shock wears off, they realize that this violence against each other is pointless and that it does not matter where you are born, what faith you practise or which nationality you possess brotherly love is universal.
And the three don’t care what animosity or disapproval they have for each other. They simply come together to have a nice smoke, a nice drink, eat delicious food and have fun-names, places, and things that only hate opposites can adore together so what if it’s weed, beer and meat! But we cannot fail to recall that for Baz, time is indeed rushing him. And that is why he has to be in such a situation and in such a dire predicament: How will he manage to extricate himself from this drama? You will need to view it in order to know what the answers are.
This is one thing that disappointed me the most and surprised me the least about watching this particular movie: from the box art, I am not sure what I had new ideas for but I anticipated something very different; there was a lot more action in my imagination.
When I was watching “Bordering on Bad Behaviour” for the first time, I figured that this movie would be more of a dramatical figurative or, at least, a basic tour with great emphasis placed on bickering with a conclusion somewhere in which people agree and in which there is death (or everyone dies). But it does not happen, which has been entirely unexpected and different but I admire it. And in the TOV Breakdown, I’ll explain why.
