Triassic World

Triassic World

“The movie does not encourage a high hope but it is much better than other recent offerings by Asylum (Tomb Invader and Atlantic Rim 2 come to mind) and basically offers a reasonable creature feature in a short period of time. If you need something to watch with no risk and low return, this is not a bad option at all.” Allusions of Grandeur

“Not the best I’ve seen, but considering this is an Asylum film, it isn’t bad at all. It’s a B-movie budget for the dinosaurs, several of whom actually seem to be functionally decent. And while some of the RFCs aren’t all that big, they’re still certainly acceptable much like the film in general. Indeed, it’s one of Asylum’s better features, which makes it all the easier to watch!” The B-Movie Shelf

“For once the CGI monsters do not seem a joke, and one of the shots appears “practical” as well in terms of effects practice as it shouldn’t: overall monster design has finally been worked on. There is even some thin line of decent suspense building.” Voices from the Balcony

“My only complaint is that once again we have a movie with annoyingly unpleasant characters as the main focus. However, the close-up shots of the dinosaurs do look quite alright and in fact, are quite impressive considering the film was made on a tight budget. The gore is also reasonably well executed.”

Why is there such a struggle to give us a decent character to support in these things??? The makeshift cast which consists of a B-grade Tom Cruise and Tilda Swinton does their best with this weak material.
