Synopsis
She dies on the table and has a near death experience, where she reconnects with her deceased mother, Claire Charlie ultimately survives but Claire’s spirit was so moved by the re-connection with her daughter, she has no intention of letting go.
Movie Review
The domestic release for psychological thriller She Came Back (formerly known as Maternal), starring Anne With An E and Stranger Things actress Amybeth McNulty is set through Tricoast Worldwide.
Tricoast Worldwide will digitally release it in April 2024 followed by a limited theatrical run. The movie will be sold internationally by Raven Banner at the forthcoming European Film Market (EFM) and distributed in Canada.
Charley (McNulty) goes through a journey after dying on an operating table where she is tormented by her late mother.
Co-starring with Megan Follows who also directed the film, some other cast members include Kris Holden-Ried (Departure), Athena Karkanis (Manifest), and Colm Feore (The Umbrella Academy).
Red Hill Entertainment’s Dana Abraham serves as producer while Christina Vegas wrote this film script also producing together with Dean Armstrong under their 16−11 Films banner. Stephanie Gorin acts as associate producer while Qamar Qureshi and Parth Jani are executive producers for Red Hill and Jani Entertainment respectively. Michael Paszt plus Ideal Entertainment are also credited as executive producers.
“She Came Back is a brilliant film and has been a labor of love that overcame many roadblocks to get it out into the world,” said Dana Abraham from Red Hill Entertainment. “We’re excited to partner with Strath Hamilton and his team at Tricoast, as well as Raven Banner on this journey, who have been equal partners in our excitement about the film.”
The independent flick initially closed down production in February last year because of Covid-19 restrictions that made it necessary to resume filming again.
